Local historical and genealogical researcher and freelance writer, Alice Luckhardt, will present her second virtual lecture from her popular series of historical vignettes about Martin County. Learn the history of the pirate who became the namesake for “Gilbert’s Bar,” the strip of limestone reefs and sandbars that sunk enough ships to dub this area the “Treasure Coast.” Q&A session to follow.
