Program Updates: Monday, March 23. 

The following services are currently available:

Meals on Wheels and Kane Cuisine - To access home-delivered meals, call 772-223-7826 or 772-223-7825.

Emergency Food Pantry – Our Emergency Food Pantry is stocked with non-perishable foods for those in need. Please call our Meal Services for information, 772-223-7826 or 772-223-7825.

24-Hour Hotline – Are you a senior who needs assistance? Call our 24/7 emergency hotline 772-834-4236.

Case Manager Navigator – Our case managers are still caring for their clients. The Case Manager Navigator is also available for assistance with accessing services and supplies. Call Jeanne at 772-223-7845.

Caregiver Counseling – Those caring for loved ones with dementia can access free caregiver counseling by calling Donna True, LCSW, at 772-223-7879.

Day Medical Center – The medical center is open. As many patients as possible are being seen via telemedicine. When necessary, patients are still being seen in the office, with additional safety precautions in place.

The following programs and services are closed or postponed:

Adult Day Club – As of Wednesday, March 25, the Adult Day Club will be closed until further notice. Families are being contacted individually to set up a plan to ensure their loved ones have services in place to remain safe at home.

Community Center/Active Senior Programs - All active senior programming including fitness classes, Games & Groups, lectures, concerts, special events, classes and workshops are on hold until further notice.

A note about concerts and special events. All concerts, fundraisers and special events scheduled through May 1 are postponed (see full list below). We are working to reschedule these events for later in the year. If you are a current ticket holder or have already registered for an event, you will be notified by phone of any developments. Please also check our website and Facebook pages for further updates.

About the Council on Aging at the Kane Center

Who We Are

At the Council on Aging of Martin County, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live life to the fullest – no matter their age.

We were founded as a private, 501(c)(3) organization in 1974 to provide services tailored to the specific needs of seniors. More than 40 years later, we are the longest-serving senior services agency in the county offering the most comprehensive resources for elders, their families and their caregivers.
