Class registrations for the next three weeks will open at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 6. Each class will have 10 spots available to sign up by phone and 10 spots available to register online.

Class Schedule (Please note, there are several changes to the schedule PLUS a NEW class with Osvaldo!):

Chair Yoga - Monday 10 to 11 a.m. (In-Person); Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. ( In-Person & Virtual Hybrid Class)

Zumba Gold - Tuesday & Thursday 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday 3:45-4:45 p.m.; Friday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. 

Senior Fitness - Tuesday & Thursday 10:45-11:45 a.m.; Wednesday 12:30-1:30 p.m.

NEW! Balance & Coordination Exercise - Wednesday 2:15-3:15 p.m.

Zumba Gold

Instructor: Osvaldo Parrotta

Class Dates/Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays 9-10 a.m., Wednesdays, 3:45-4:45 p.m.; Fridays 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Class Fee: $6 Kane Members, $7 Non-Members

Zumba Gold is a senior-friendly version of the popular Latin-inspired fitness dance workout. This very popular class is ideal for beginners and those who want an effective – and fun! – lower intensity, low impact workout.

Chair Yoga

Class Dates/Times: Mondays from 10-11 a.m.

Class Fee: $8 Kane Members/ $10 Non-Members

Chair Yoga introduces participants to health-enhancing yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation in a fun, nurturing and safe environment. It has been described as providing “physical lightness, mental calmness and emotional tranquility.” Students can choose to use either mats or chairs. The class, which is appropriate for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), allows students to work according to their own flexibility and strength.

Senior Fitness

This program is designed to help those 55 and beter live healthy, active lifestyles while getting fit, having fun and making friends. The class emphasizes muscle range of motion, flexibility and coordination.

In-Person & Virtual Chair Yoga Hybrid Class

Class Dates/Times: Wednesdays 10-11 a.m.

Class Fee: $8 Kane Members/ $10 Non-Members

Chair Yoga on Wednesdays are now going to be a hybrid class combining a live in-person option and a virtual option. All registrants will be given the option to participate virtually or in-person.

Balance & Coordination Exercise

Class Dates/Times:  Wednesdays 2:15-3:15 pm

Class Fee: $6 Kane Members/ $7 Non-Members

Improve your balance and coordination while also strengthening and toning your body! Exercises focus on stretching, core strengthening, mobility and flexibility. Learn how to use controlled body movements and gentle stretching to relax and enhance your mind-body connection.

Tai Chi for Balance

Instructor: Grace Coffey

Class Dates/Times: Tai Chi classes are suspended for the summer months. 

Class Fee: $8 Kane Members/ $10 Kane Club & Non-Members

Tai Chi is enjoyable, easy to learn and provides many health benefits. It is often described as “meditation in motion,” but it might well be called “medication in motion.” The program is a safe and effective system that enhances strength and flexibility, while reducing joint pain and stress. Qigong coordinates body posture and movement, breathing and meditation used for health and relaxation.
