Local historical and genealogical researcher and freelance writer, Alice Luckhardt, presents the intriguing story of Dr. George Porter, a retired army doctor who frequented Stuart in the 1900s. His compelling, and rarely recounted, involvement with the people responsible for the death of Abraham Lincoln shed a new light on one of the greatest tragedies in American history.
