Giving Opportunities

Today, some of your frail elder neighbors are on waiting lists for food and care. As a private, not-for-profit organization, the Council on Aging of Martin County receives 68% of its funding through government grants.  But these grants are never enough to provide all that is lacking for disadvantaged seniors living in our community.

Make a Difference. Make a Donation.

Over $600,000 in tax-deductible, charitable donations is needed every year to assist seniors in our area waiting for help. This goal may seem challenging, but it can be—AND IS—accomplished when your gift is combined with many others to make life better, healthier, and safer for seniors.

Below are various options for ways you can make a difference in local area elders' lives.

Annual Giving

The cost of a home-delivered meal is under $7.00, so making a donation to feed a hungry senior is affordable for nearly everyone.  Annual contributions of $10, $25, $50 or $100 made by thousands of donors raise $100,000+ every year.  You can make your annual gift in any amount you choose.

You will receive:

  • A gift acknowledgement letter for tax purposes
  • A donor recognition newsletter each March
  • An annual Kane Chronicle Newsletter to see your gift at work

Tribute gifts of any amount can also be made in memory of a loved one or in honor of an individual to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, end-of-year holiday, or special occasion. The Council will send a card acknowledging your gift to the one you have honored or to surviving family members of the one you have remembered.
