Local historical and genealogical researcher and freelance writer, Alice Luckhardt, presents Tales of Old Florida. This month’s installment is Billy Bowlegs III, Extraordinary Seminole. Billy Bowlegs was a member of the Seminole tribe who served as an ambassador in the early wilderness days between the Seminole tribe and the white pioneer settlements, including Stuart, Ft.
