Help to Stock our Emergency Pantry

The Council on Aging offers a "hard times” pantry for seniors in acute need of nutrition assistance. Our care managers, nutrition staff and health care professionals use this pantry as an emergency resource for seniors who are in critical need of food. The emergency pantry is an immediate solution until we can bring in other services (such as Meals on Wheels) on a long-term basis.

Several organizations help to keep our pantry stocked by holding regular food drives at their meetings, asking that attendees bring a canned food item. If you belong to an organization that can help out with a food drive, contact Bonnie Ares Royster, Director of Development, at 772-223-7831 or broyster@kanecenter.org.
