Ways to Give Twice

There are even more ways you can support the good work of the Council on Aging of Martin County.  Several of these options also offer the benefit of doubling your donation.

United Way:
You can fulfill your United Way commitment and support the Council on Aging at the same time. United Way contributions made anywhere in the United States can be designated to benefit the Council on Aging of Martin County. The Council already receives individual, donor-designated gifts through United Way chapters from Florida to Connecticut. Contact your local United Way for more information.

Volunteer Involvement Programs:
To encourage community involvement, some companies contribute to the non-profit organizations where their employees and retirees volunteer (for example, a $1,000 donation for 40 hours of volunteered time). ExxonMobil is one company that generously offers this program. Check with your employer to see if this opportunity is available to you.

Matching Gift Programs:
Many employers (such as Wachovia, Pfizer and Prudential) match the amount of charitable contributions made by their employees and retirees (certain restrictions may apply). If your employer offers a matching gift program, your gift to the Council on Aging can double!
