Renowned dementia care expert Teepa Snow will present a special caregiver education seminar “Why Did They Do That? Understanding the Symptoms and Behaviors of Dementia” on Wednesday, January 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Kane Center in Stuart.

Snow has developed a multitude of programs and educational resources to train professional and family caregivers. She focuses on developing and maintaining effective communication to keep individuals with dementia connected with the people and world around them. She explains the progression of dementia, how this affects overall health and behavior, and how to build a holistic program of therapeutic support to help a person with dementia maintain the highest possible quality of life.
