Beginning in 1974, the Council on Aging helped Martin County seniors and their families navigate the complex issues of aging, offering services designed to prolong and improve a senior's ability to continue to live safely and comfortably at home. By the turn of the 21st century, it became apparent that more would be needed to effectively serve the ever-growing senior population in our community.

It started as a lofty dream to create a place to help seniors live longer, healthier lives through social, physical, educational, cultural, healthcare and nutritional programs. Ten years later, that dream has come to fruition ... and then some. Join us as we remember the many milestones of the last decade, and take a look toward the bright future ahead.
