Caregiver Support

Here for You and Your Loved One

Did you know that 75% of American adults will spend time caring for an elder relative?

Caring for your senior loved one is both a privilege and an enormous responsibility.  The Council on Aging can help you access the services you need, get the respite you deserve, and improve the quality of life that you spend with your loved one.  One call to 772-223-7800 will start the process of getting assistance tailored to your needs.  Our professional care managers are here to help.

Our Adult Day Club is an excellent option for respite care.  Our clients benefit from socialization, therapy and enhanced care, while their loved ones get a much-needed break.

We also offer ongoing caregiver support groups, where you can share tips, resources and experiences with other caregivers, under the direction of a licensed clinical social worker who has in-depth experience in elder care issues.

Your loved one does not need to be getting services through the Council for you to participate in our support groups - they are free and open to the public.  Free respite care is available during group meeting times.
