Special Event Giving

"I enjoy social events that have a greater purpose.”

-- Quote from a Council on Aging special event donor

To benefit seniors receiving Council on Aging services, two special events raise a combined total of $100,000+ each year:

  • The Sailfish Point Cocktail Buffet fundraiser is hosted at a private residence each January.  Guests commit $175 per person to attend. Some guests also choose to give $500, $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000 in major gift donations through this event.
  • "Flower Power,” a fashion show/silent auction luncheon benefiting Meals on Wheels, is held at a gated country club in Stuart every March.  Guests can choose to underwrite between five to 500 individual Meals on Wheels through this event.

To receive an invitation to either event or to host an event to benefit the Council on Aging of Martin County, please contact Bonnie Ares Royster, our Director of Development.  You may call her 772-223-7831, e-mail (broyster@kanecenter.org) or submit a Special Event Form below.
