Legacy Gifts

"I give what I can when I can for Council on Aging services.  But I wanted to do more.”

-- Quote from a long-term $25 per year donor, who has remembered the Council on Aging in her will.

Planning a legacy gift is an option for those who desire to do more than they can presently afford.  The vast majority of legacy gifts made to the Council are charitable bequests included in a will or a living trust.  Most legacy gifts received are between $15,000 and $100,000.

A planned gift is a purposeful use of the worldly goods accumulated over your lifetime -- and a way to continue your values and priorities beyond your lifetime.

The Council on Aging strongly recommends consulting the advice of a competent tax and legal professional when considering any planned gift.  The Council’s Certified Fund Raising Executive is always available to you and your professional advisors.  Just call 772-223-7831 or e-mail (broyster@coamc.org.)
