Is it possible to live young at any age? The answer is “yes” – with the right support.

For over three decades, the Council on Aging of Martin County has helped seniors to live young with services that let them stay comfortably and independently at home. With the creation of the Kane Senior Center, these services will be significantly expanded to proactively address and overcome the three major threats to senior independence: isolation, inactivity and unhealthy weight due to poor nutrition.
The Kane Center will also play a leading role in advancing new techniques to promote successful longevity, including:
  • Enhancing ongoing partnerships with nursing and medical training colleges such as Florida Atlantic University and Indian River State College to attract practitioners into the geriatric field;
  • Forging partnerships with biotech organizations and geriatricians on groundbreaking research and clinical trials to advance health and wellness; and
  • Developing and utilizing assistive device technologies that empower seniors and foster independence.

Advancements made at the Charles and Rae Kane Senior Center will enhance our elders' lives, and help future generations live young at any age.
